  • Alice in Wonderland

    Join Three Brothers Theatre of Waukegan for this all-ages adaptation of the Lewis Carroll classic. All ages. Free ticket required. Tickets are available in the Youth Services Department the evening before the program starting at 6:00 on a first-come, first-served basis. Limit 6 tickets per family.
  • Boys and Books

    Enjoy snacks, activities, and discussion about Pirate Diary: The Journal of Jake Carpenter, by Richard Platt. Copies of the book will be available for checkout at the Youth Services Desk. Grades 3-5 with an adult. Sign-up starts June 16 for Wilmette & Kenilworth residents, and June 23 for nonresidents.
  • Stories in Vattmann Park
    When: Monday, July 13, 2015 - 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM

    Families are invited for stories and songs with Wilmette librarians. Please gather near the tennis courts. In case of rain or extreme heat, storytime will take place in the Current Periodicals Room at the Library. If in doubt, please call 847-256-6945.   • Kids' Library Council

    Make important decisions about the look of WPL's new junior high area! Also, make bristlebots, robots assembled from toothbrushes, pager motors, and batteries. Snacks will be served. Grades 5-8. Registration starts June 29 for Wilmette & Kenilworth residents, July 6 for nonresidents.
  • Fun with Cartoons, with Gene Myers (Gr. 2-4)
    When: Tuesday, July 14, 2015 - 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM

    Come to a hands-on class conducted by Myers, a professional cartoonist whose work has appeared in Family Circle, Reader's Digest, McCall's, and many other publications. Grades 2-4. Registration starts June 30 for Wilmette & Kenilworth residents, July 7 for nonresidents.

    Do you like to do digital media design with Scratch? You'll like it even more when you use a PicoBoard! Using PicoBoards, hardware that connects Scratch projects to the real world, we'll experiment with sound and light. Grades 5-8. Registration starts July 1 for Wilmette & Kenilworth residents, July 8 for nonresidents.

    Join us for this special evening storytime for you and your favorite stuffed pal. We'll listen to stories and do a craft before we tuck our friends in for the night. Come back the next day to pick up your stuffed animal and find out what the animals did in the Library while you were sleeping. Ages 4-7.
