  • Visit the Library at Wilmette's French Market
    When: Saturday, July 09, 2016 - 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
    Where: Off-site

    Staff librarians will be signing adults, teens and kids up for the Summer Reading Club at Wilmette's French Market! Everyone who signs up at the market will be entered into a drawing to win a bag of produce and other goodies from the market.
  • Drawing Manga Workshop
    When: Wednesday, July 13, 2016 - 6:30 PM - 7:45 PM
    Where: Teen Room

    Do you love reading manga and wish you could draw like manga artists? Wish no more! In this workshop, you’ll get a brief lesson on realistic drawing versus abstract. You’ll get to learn the correct proportions for manga design and even be given a chance to create your own character!
  • Yoga on the Lawn
    When: Tuesday, July 19, 2016 - 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
    Where: Library Lawn

    Join yoga instructor Jenny Klein as she leads the group in a relaxing and rejuvenating session of yoga on the Library grounds! All levels of experience welcome; please bring a mat or a towel if you don't have one, and water. Yoga will take place in the auditorium if weather does not permit. Registration required by calling the Library or via the online calendar; this event is open to teens and adults. Meet on the lawn if not raining.
  • College Application Boot Camp
    When: Saturday, August 13, 2016 - 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
    Where: Auditorium

    Is your high school senior or junior ready for a jump start on the college admission process? Perhaps your college bound student is unsure how to begin the college application process. This workshop is designed to assist high school students with the important first steps; getting organized! This interactive presentation, hosted by Thomas Jaworski from Quest College Consulting, will identify helpful tips and suggestions on how to draft a well organized essay in order to create a competitive college application. This program is designed for juniors and seniors, but all are welcome.
